Urban Nomad

"Where is the Life we have lost in living?

Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?

Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?"

T.S. Eliot, The Rock, 1934

Here and now.

Step by step in the acid rusty street.

As a nomad riding through urban steppes, dust in the eyes and smoke in the nose.

Between necessity and will, as usual behind the daily grind of living.

Looks in rapid sequence.

The extraordinary spectacle of our colors of every day.

That we have forgotten and that we are not used to seeing.

The capture of a movement, four images in two seconds, the time of a glance.

Instinct and no chance to think of a composition.

Only glances, time and colors, captured pure and unseen, prancing on the film.

And then the road takes you elsewhere.

All taken with a plasticky analogic supersampler. Unique and extraordinary.

Bad and imperfect.

But surprising.

Each image is composed of four images taken in rapid sequence in only one frame.
No assembly, only the eye movement on film. You don't see only the images but also the movement of the eyes of the photographer.

The images are from 35 mm color Kodak film and taken by a Supersampler camera.
